OVERVIEW

The Mercedes-AMG GT 53 4MATIC+ 4-Door Coupé blends luxury, performance, and everyday usability in a way few vehicles can. Powered by the AMG enhanced 3.0L inline 6 turbo engine with mild hybrid assist, the GT 53 already delivers strong factory performance, but the platform has considerably more to offer through proper ECU calibration.

Our AMT performance tuning sharpens throttle response, increases torque throughout the rev range, and gives the GT 53 a much stronger and more urgent character, especially in the mid range where the car feels noticeably more alive. The result is a faster, sharper, and more responsive driving experience while maintaining the refinement expected from an AMG grand touring platform.

OPTIONAL FEATURES

Pops & Bangs

Also known as Crackle Map, Burble on Overrun, or Schubblubbern, this feature adds a sharper exhaust crackle sound when lifting off the throttle.

This option is designed to give the vehicle a more aggressive exhaust character during deceleration and overrun, while also helping maintain a more responsive feel when getting back on the throttle. It is a popular option for customers looking for a more race inspired sound and a more dramatic driving experience.

Start Stop Deactivation

This option disables the factory automatic start and stop function, so the engine will no longer automatically shut off when the vehicle comes to a stop.

It is a popular feature for customers who prefer a more consistent driving experience without repeated engine shut off and restart during normal driving.

Exhaust Flap Control

Exhaust Flap Control allows the calibration of the factory exhaust valve behavior for a more aggressive exhaust sound when desired.

When the valves are closed, the exhaust remains quieter and more restrained. When opened, the exhaust system operates in a higher flow and louder sound mode, giving the vehicle a more pronounced AMG exhaust character.

Catalyst Heating Deactivation

The factory catalyst heating strategy is designed to bring the catalytic converters up to operating temperature as quickly as possible after cold start. This is typically achieved by raising idle speed and adjusting ignition timing during the initial startup phase.

Disabling this function can reduce the louder cold start behavior that many customers find excessive, especially on vehicles equipped with less restrictive exhaust hardware or catless setups.

PROGRAMMING INFORMATION

ECU Programming Method: BENCH
Reading and programming are carried out directly through the control unit connector on the bench.

This means the ECU must be removed from the vehicle and programmed directly on the bench.

ECU SHIPPING OPTION

If you are unable to bring the vehicle to us, the ECU can be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for bench programming.

Please make sure the ECU is packed securely and that the package includes a note with the following information:

• Full name
• Order number
• VIN number
• Vehicle year and model
• Contact email
• Contact phone number

This information is required so we can correctly identify the ECU and match it to your order before programming begins.

PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS

Please pack the ECU securely using anti static material and/or bubble wrap.
Ship in a strong padded box with tracking and insurance.

Improper packaging may result in damage during transit.
