OVERVIEW

The Jeep Renegade 1.4 MultiAir Turbo is a compact turbocharged platform that responds very well to proper ECU calibration. Our AMT performance software is designed to improve throttle response, torque delivery, and overall drivability while maintaining smooth and reliable daily operation.

This platform is available in multiple factory output versions, and our calibrations are matched accordingly. The result is a stronger, more responsive driving experience with improved mid range performance and smoother power delivery.

ECO TUNE

ECO tuning is a customized reprogramming of the vehicle’s engine control unit, focused on optimizing engine parameters such as ignition timing and fuel injection to improve efficiency without compromising reliability.

The tune enhances torque and introduces a speed limiter strategy to improve fuel efficiency while maintaining driving comfort and responsiveness.

Estimated fuel savings: approximately 8%

All modifications comply with existing emissions standards.

STAGE 1 CALIBRATION

Stage 1 consists of an individual reprogramming of the engine management system, whereby the adjustment of the engine parameters such as ignition, injection, throttle response, torque limiters, and related ECU strategies are custom adjusted.

All engine parameter values at this stage remain within sensible operating limits for the platform. Stage 1 is designed to improve performance, drivability, and responsiveness while maintaining reliability.

STAGE 2 CALIBRATION

Stage 2 is intended for vehicles equipped with supporting intake and exhaust modifications that improve airflow. The calibration is adjusted accordingly to take advantage of the hardware changes and deliver stronger overall performance.

BITBOX SLAVE FLASHING SOLUTION

For this application, AMT Tuning uses the BitBox Slave bench flashing solution.

Although Powergate may show general compatibility, virtual files are not consistently available for this platform. For that reason, we use the BitBox bench method as the preferred and more stable solution.

The direct connection cable that plugs straight into the ECU is also supplied. This means there is no need to remove and open the ECU. The ECU is simply unplugged in the vehicle, our direct connection cable is attached, and the tuning process is completed through the BitBox setup.

The BitBox solution requires a Windows laptop. AMT Tuning connects remotely and handles the process directly with the customer, including setup, reading, programming, and support.

REMOTE TUNING OPTION

Remote tuning is carried out using the BitBox Slave setup together with the supplied direct ECU connection cable.

This allows the vehicle to be programmed remotely without shipping the ECU, as long as the customer has:

ECU SHIPPING OPTION

If preferred, the ECU can still be sent to AMT Tuning for programming.

PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS

Please pack the ECU securely using anti static material and or bubble wrap.
Ship in a strong padded box with tracking and insurance.

Improper packaging may result in damage during transit.
