ECU TUNE REBASE / RECALIBRATION AFTER DEALER OR OEM SOFTWARE UPDATE

For Existing AMT Tuning Customers Only

$150 USD per ECU / control unit

This service is for existing AMT Tuning customers whose vehicle ECU has received a new or different factory software version after the original AMT tune was supplied.

This commonly occurs when:

• A dealership performs an ECU software update or recall
• Factory ECU software is updated during vehicle service
• The original tuned software is overwritten with a newer OEM software version
• AMT confirms that the existing tune must be rebuilt on a different factory software version

When the ECU software version changes, the previously supplied tuned file may no longer be compatible with the ECU. The original tuned file must not be flashed over a different ECU software version unless AMT specifically confirms that it is compatible.

What This Service Includes

• Review of the new ECU identification / software version
• Rebuilding or rebasing the customer's previously purchased AMT calibration onto the new supported OEM software
• Existing tune stage and previously purchased calibration options retained where technically supported
• Updated tuning file supplied through the customer's existing supported flashing method

What Is Not Included

This service does not include:

• A new Stage 1 tune for a vehicle that has not previously been tuned by AMT
• Upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 or another higher tuning stage
• New software options not previously purchased
• ECU replacement, cloning or immobilizer programming
• New flashing hardware, licences or subscriptions
• Additional ECU or TCU modules

Additional stages, options, modules or hardware must be purchased separately.

Important

Do not attempt to flash your previous tuned file after a dealership or manufacturer software update unless AMT has confirmed that the ECU software version is unchanged and the file is compatible.

Please perform a new ECU identification/read using your AMT-supported flashing tool and provide the new file or identification information when requested.

This service applies only where AMT supports the new ECU software version. If you are unsure, contact AMT Tuning before purchasing.

Free Software Updates vs. OEM Software Rebase

AMT's free tune revisions apply to updates and revisions of the customer's originally purchased calibration where the ECU hardware and underlying OEM software remain compatible.

A dealership or manufacturer update that changes the ECU's underlying factory software can require the complete AMT calibration to be rebuilt on a new OEM software base. This is a separate recalibration service and is not considered a standard tune revision.
