Don't have a Windows PC for your AMT tuning package?

AMT can provide a Windows laptop configured specifically for use with your supported ECU flashing system.

Before shipping, we prepare the computer with the required Windows configuration, drivers and flashing software associated with the tuning equipment purchased for your vehicle. We also install the required AMT support tools and test the setup before it leaves our facility.

This gives customers who do not already own a suitable Windows computer a convenient way to receive a system that has already been prepared for the AMT tuning process.

WHAT THE $399 USD PRICE INCLUDES

The purchase price includes:

• Windows laptop
• AMT configuration and setup labor
• Installation of required communication drivers
• Installation and configuration of the applicable flashing software
• Configuration for the AMT flashing system purchased for your vehicle
• AMT remote-support software installed where required
• Windows and software setup checks before shipment
• Pre-shipment testing of the configured computer
• Laptop prepared for use with your AMT tuning equipment

The laptop is prepared specifically around the flashing method confirmed for your AMT order.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED

The $399 USD price is for the laptop and AMT configuration service only.

The following items are sold separately:

• BBS / BitBox flashing software or licence
• OBD flashing cable or other ECU interface
• AMT Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 2++, Stage 3 or other tuning software
• Additional tuning options or calibration upgrades
• Powergate or other flashing hardware unless purchased separately

If your vehicle requires a BBS, BitBox or similar Windows-based flashing package, the appropriate software/licence and flashing hardware must also be purchased for your vehicle.

PLEASE NOTE

Buying this laptop by itself does not include an ECU tune or flashing licence.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Confirm Your Vehicle

Before ordering, AMT must confirm the correct flashing method for your vehicle.

Please provide:

• Year
• Make
• Model
• Engine
• VIN

We will confirm whether your vehicle uses a Windows-based flashing solution and which flashing package is required.

2. Purchase the Required Tuning Package

Purchase the applicable:

• AMT tuning software
• BBS/BitBox or other required flashing software/licence
• Required flashing cable/interface
• Preconfigured laptop, if required

3. AMT Configures Your Laptop

Once your order is confirmed, AMT prepares the laptop for your specific flashing setup.

This includes installing and configuring the required software and drivers and testing the computer before shipment.

4. Receive Your Complete Setup

Once received, the laptop will already be prepared for the flashing system associated with your order.

You will then connect the supplied flashing interface to the laptop and vehicle and follow the AMT instructions for reading the original ECU.

5. ECU Read & Tune Preparation

For applications that require an ECU read:

• Connect the flashing interface
• Read the original ECU file
• Submit the file to AMT
• AMT prepares the appropriate calibration
• Use the same laptop and flashing equipment to write the tuned file back to the ECU

SETUP & PROCESSING TIME

Please allow approximately 3–4 business days for AMT to configure and test the laptop before shipment.

This preparation period is in addition to normal shipping time.

We configure each computer for the applicable customer/order rather than shipping an untouched Windows laptop.

COMPATIBILITY

This product is intended for supported AMT tuning packages that require a Windows-based flashing system.

Depending on the vehicle and ECU, this may include systems such as:

• BBS
• BitBox
• Other Windows-based AMT-supported flashing solutions

Not every AMT tuning package requires a laptop.

Some vehicles use Powergate or another flashing method instead.

This laptop does not convert an unsupported application into a Powergate application and does not guarantee compatibility with every vehicle or ECU.

AMT must confirm the flashing method for your vehicle before purchase.

LAPTOP SPECIFICATIONS

Laptop brand, model, processor, storage capacity and cosmetic appearance may vary depending on availability.

AMT selects the computer based on its suitability for the required flashing software rather than supplying a specific retail laptop model unless otherwise stated.

The computer will be configured and tested for its intended AMT tuning purpose before shipment.

IMPORTANT AFTER RECEIVING THE LAPTOP

To avoid creating software or communication problems, please do not:

• Factory reset the laptop
• Reinstall Windows
• Remove the flashing software
• Remove required drivers
• Alter important communication settings
• Modify the AMT software configuration before completing the tuning process

If assistance is required, please contact AMT before making major changes to the computer.

EXISTING AMT CUSTOMERS

Already purchased an AMT tune or flashing package but do not have a suitable Windows PC?

You may purchase this laptop separately and provide your existing:

• AMT order number
• Vehicle information
• Flashing system/software being used

AMT can then configure the laptop for your existing supported setup.
